Daphne du Maurier - Margaret Forster
Very readable biography of the famous novelist. It seems fairly reliable - Forster had access to the family, the letters, etc. - and on the whole very balanced (though du Maurier comes off quite well).
Makes me wonder why I don't read more biography, actually - I find the whole process of resurrecting someone's life really fascinating.
